The Labor Party will pledge to provide free TAFE, create more university places and invest in skills if it wins the next election.
The $1.2 billion plan will focus on tackling skill shortages by offering free TAFE to Australians studying in affected industries.
Under the plan, 465,000 free TAFE places will be provided to boost workforces, while the party has also pledged to deliver up to 20,000 new university positions.
$50 million has also been pledged towards TAFE technology to improve IT facilities, laboratories and telehealth simulators across Australia.
Labor Leader Anthony Albanese is expected to unveil the plan on Sunday.
