A COVID alert is in place for Parliament House after a staff member of a Greens MP tested positive for the virus.

The infectious person tested positive on their return to their home state of Victoria after parliamentary sittings in Canberra.

ACT Health is working to identify possible close contacts and exposure sites at Parliament House between November 30 and December 2.

Tasmanian Greens Senator Nick McKim has confirmed he is quarantining after being notified he was a close contact of the infectious person and has since tested negative for COVID.
