Sky News host Rita Panahi says the left keep trotting out the dangerous lie that Donald Trump called white supremacists “very fine people”.
“Yes, the fine people hoax which has been debunked even by a couple of left wing outlets was trotted out repeatedly by the Biden camp during the election campaign,” Ms Panahi said.
“What Trump said was that there were very fine people on both sides of the statue debate when people were wanting to tear down confederate statutes and others opposed them.
“He was clear in unequivocally condemning the racists and white supremacists. You can see that if you watch the full clip or read the transcript.
“But the left will keep trotting out this dangerous lie cause they can get away with it. Most of the media turn a blind eye to this obvious falsehood.
“And Trump was absolutely right about the campaign to tear down statutes. He said it would not stop with confederate generals, that eventually the same mobs would want to tear down George Washington and Thomas Jefferson statutes because they owned slaves.”
Ms Panahi said President Trump was “mocked for making that suggestion” but earlier this week a statue of Thomas Jefferson was removed “after 187 years” because there was concern over him being a slaveowner.
“Well guess what, Trump was right,” she said.
