Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan says the state has hit another milestone as over 85 per cent of the population has received one COVID-19 vaccination.

“Currently our vaccination rate for those aged 12 and over is 85.3 per cent for first doses, for second doses the rate is 73.4 per cent,” he said.

Mr McGowan said the number were “very encouraging” and nearly 120,000 West Australians have had their first dose since the roadmap out of the pandemic was released.

“We need to keep the momentum going, especially considering the vast size of our state,” he said.
