There have been tears of joy at Adelaide Airport on the day South Australia finally opens its borders to the country, becoming the first COVID-free state to choose to live with the virus.

Rising vaccination rates on the east coast mean vaccinated travellers coming from New South Wales, Victoria, and the ACT now face less restrictions.
