The town of Katherine in the Northern Territory will have to be in some form of lockdown or lockout until December 4, according to Chief Minister Michael Gunner.

“At this stage, Katherine will have to be in some form of lockdown or lockout until December 4,” Mr Gunner told a media conference on Tuesday.

It comes after the the Territory recorded three new COVID-19 cases – bringing the Katherine cluster to 40.
