Former New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has been sounded out to take on the job as CEO of Sport Australia, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

Mr Clennell said it was another job offer for the former premier, who has also been pushed to run against independent MP Zali Steggall in the seat of Warringah.

“Baird, who is CEO of aged care company HammondCare, has knocked it back and the CEO shortlist is now down to four, but I understand Baird has had several approaches,” Mr Clennell said.
