The Palaszczuk government is doing “everything they can” to shift the blame for issues in the Queensland health system to Canberra, according to Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.
It comes after Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath launched an inquiry into the state’s health system, which will focus on areas which are the responsibility of the Commonwealth.
“They (the Queensland government) don’t spend money on the patient-caregiver equation; they spend it on the bureaucracy,” Mr Hardgrave told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“This is a health system which is rampant with clipboard carries – although I think they’ve all got iPads these days.
“Any wonder the federal government, the health minister at the federal level, Greg Hunt, puts pressure on Queensland about actually spending money on patients, not on paperwork?”
