Hundreds of people marched through Brisbane’s CBD on Wednesday in protest against mandatory COVID-19 vaccines.

A heavy police presence – including mounted officers and specially-equipped tactical police – met demonstrators outside the Queensland government headquarters.

Police were forced to step in after a part of the crowd cornered media.

Under the health orders, unvaccinated residents will be banned from dining in at cafes and attending live music event after December 17 or once the state hits 80 per cent double dose target.
