Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has been “outplayed” by former Labor Party insider Adem Somyurek, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.

The Andrews government’s pandemic powers bill has been sent into disarray after Somyurek, a former minister, revealed to the Herald Sun he would block the legislation.

“It’s as though Andrews forgot one of the cardinal rules of politics – be careful of a wounded, cornered adversary, particularly one that knows where the bodies are buried,” Ms Credlin said.

“That Somyurek is politically savvy is a given … I’m surprised Andrews has underestimated him, but clearly he has.”
