Poker machine maker Aristocrat has seen profits jump 81 per cent despite long lockdowns, according to Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

Although Aristocrat is an Australian owned and operated company which manufactures its poker machines domestically, America is where the majority of the money was made.

Aristocrat’s profit is up 114 per cent on a “normalised basis” as it raked in $756 million with revenue up 14 per cent to $4.73 billion.

Mr Greenwood said the profit came from the sale of new machines to venues in America, which has been open for much longer than Australia.
