The Northern Territory has recorded one new COVID-19 case, with Greater Darwin’s restrictions still set to ease at midnight.

The case is a man in his 20s who shared accommodation with the 26-year-old-man and was the first person to test positive.

The outbreak was started by a 21-year-old woman who was in Melbourne for four days before travelling to Adelaide, Cairns and then Darwin.

Deputy Chief Health Officer Charles Pain says he is not concerned about the most recent case as the man was in quarantine at Howard Springs for the entirety of his infectious period.
