Queensland has recorded zero new cases of COVID-19 in the state after more than 5,000 tests were conducted the previous day.

There are 13 activate cases of COVID-19 currently.

Precautions are being taken at Toowoomba Hospital after it was deemed an exposure site when a close contact visited a relative at the hospital.

“As an abundance of caution, we’re just making sure at the current stage that we are restricting visiting numbers to make sure that community, in particular the most vulnerable members of our community, those people in hospital are safe at this stage,” Queensland Acting Chief Health Officer Dr Peter Aitken said.
