Political strategist Brigid Meney says there is “hypocrisy” coming from Labor ministers who have criticised Education Minister Alan Tudge’s remarks on the draft national curriculum.

Mr Tudge has said the draft curriculum will teach children to have a negative view of Australia.

Ms Meney told Sky News host Cory Bernardi the Education Minister is “bang on” with his remarks.

“It’s all considered just sensible education reform when it’s … the left advocating that ANZAC Day is a contested day, which is exactly what the draft of national curriculum initially stated,” she said.

“And when Minister Tudge comes out and says ‘well, hang on a second’; suddenly he’s engaging in history wars, in culture wars’.

“And these Labor premiers and ministers are just exposing themselves on this front.”
