The “whole state” of Western Australia wanted Cleo Smith found, according to broadcaster Jane Marwick.

“It had been 18 days – so many of us had feared the very, very worst,” Ms Marwick told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“The information coming out of the police was just so hard to decipher.

Ms Marwick said after news of the four-year-old’s rescue broke, people in Western Australia “were simply jubilant”.

“Radio announcers were jubilant; callers were jubilant,” she said.

“The whole state wanted this little girl found, and we are simply overjoyed.”
