The Western Australian police deserve “our full congratulations” for rescuing four-year-old Cleo Smith, says Sky News host Paul Murray.

It comes after a team of officers broke into a Carnarvon property on Tonkin Crescent around 1am on Wednesday where they found Cleo in a bedroom.

“Every time somebody heaps it on the police, remember, police are what made this happen,” Mr Murray said.
