NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham says federal opposition leader Anthony Albanese is siding with someone who is “actively anti-Australia” by supporting Emmanuel Macron in the ongoing feud between the Morrison and Macron governments.

“Albanese has taken the viewpoint that my enemy’s enemy is my friend, and he’s buddied up with Macron from the left of politics in France, a soulmate,” Mr Latham told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“And you can do that, but he’s buddied up with someone who’s anti-Australia.

“At the end of the day France is not our defence ally, we’ve done much more for France than they’ve ever done for us, particularly during the two world wars.”
