NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a major change to the reopening roadmap.
The premier announced a number of changes to the initial December 1 roadmap for those fully vaccinated.
“Density limits will shift to two square metres right across the board, capacity limits will be lifted for all settings other than gym classes which will keep at 20 per class,” he told a media conference on Tuesday.
“Visitors to the home will be uncapped, outdoor gatherings will increase as well for those who are fully vaccinated and for those outdoor gatherings of more than 1,000, they will need a COVID safe plan in place.
“Indoor pools will reopen for all purposes, hospitality will move to two square metres indoors and amusement centres and play centres will open
“And major events and major recreation and obviously stadiums, for example, will go to 100 per cent capacity.”
The premier said these changes are to come into effect on November 8.
Mr Perrottet also announced that the December 1 freedoms for the unvaccinated will be pushed back to December 15 – or 95 per cent double dose – whichever happens first.
“We want to ensure that as we open up we open up safely and we will be pushing back that date from December 1 for those who are not fully vaccinated.”
