Sky News host Sharri Markson says the ICAC investigation into former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian could be the “greatest over-reach” in the commission’s history.

“We have to ask whether their tabloid-style exposure of the premier’s ‘secret’ love life in any way amounts to corruption or justifies the exit of a competent premier during the worst crisis this state has ever lived through,” Ms Markson said.

“We don’t know what tomorrow will bring … so far we haven’t seen a skerrick of systemic corruption revealed.

“But a competent woman leader has lost her job and been publicly humiliated.”
