COVID-19 has made its way into the G20 summit, with a media worker testing positive to the virus.

According to Lazio region’s health department, the case was caught before the employee was able to enter the media centre.

Foreign media representatives for the event are subject to strict COVID-19 protocols which include showing a negative test carried out 48 hours before entering Italy.

Face masks must also be worn at all times when inside.
