Labor MP Anika Wells’ video criticising the Morrison government’s net zero plan was “rubbish virtue signalling”, according to Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson.

Ms Wells represents the seat of Lilley, which Mr Gleeson described as a “really working-class electorate”.

“It’s one of those salt of the earth type electorates,” he said.

“It was held for many years by Wayne Swan, and Anika Wells is a Wayne Swan protégé.

“I think the good folk of Lilley would be horrified.”
