The Coalition’s approval has dropped to its lowest level in three years – as Prime Minister Scott Morrison prepares for the Glasgow climate change summit.
The Australian’s Newspoll revealed popular support for the Liberal-Nationals fell two points to 35 per cent.
On a two party preferred basis, the Coalition trails Labor 46 to 54 – a two-point drop for the Morrison Government.
It follows two weeks of deliberations over whether to support a 2050 net zero target.
It also revealed 47 per cent of voters believed the government should prioritise meeting those targets.
Mr Morrison’s approval ratings have also fallen further into negative territory.
