Constituents of Tory MP Sir David Amess have remembered him by holding a two minute silence.

One week on since Sir David’s murder, he remains at the forefront of the minds of many of his constituents.

Community members are still reeling from the loss of Sir David, who was stabbed to death during constituency surgery.

He had served as an MP for Southend West from 1997 and had been in Parliament since 1983.
