Democrats and media pundits who laugh at the possibility of Trump winning the next election should not underestimate him, says Data For Progress Senior Adviser Aidan Smith.
“Not only did he win in 2016 against all odds – he came pretty close in 2020 and made major inroads in areas Republicans had previously performed poorly in,”
“That’s why President Biden and congressional Democratic leadership really need to play hardball to pass their agenda.
“Because … if they go through four years with their only major policy accomplishment being the $1400 cheques created in March in the stimulus package – a lot of voters are going to be looking for someone else.
“And it just so happens that person could be Donald Trump.”
