Victoria has recorded 1,571 new local COVID-19 cases along with 13 deaths in the 24 hours to midnight, the Department of Health announced on Wednesday.
The results came from a record testing rate of 79,200 swabs and takes the number of active cases in the state to 19,861.
One case was detected in hotel quarantine.
The latest infections are a slight increase from Tuesday after three consecutive days of a drop in cases and the national pandemic record of 1,965 cases on Saturday.
