Fabio Silveira, father of six-year-old boy Lenny Silveira, says there was “no reason” given by the government for being denied entry into Queensland.

Lenny Silveira, who has cerebral palsy, required brain surgery and flew to the US for treatment with his father, Fabio.

They were able to get a flight back to Australia but are currently in hotel quarantine in Sydney after being denied multiple requests to quarantine at home.

“Back in August, end of July, August, we applied for exemption to quarantine at home because we knew that was the best environment for him to have his rehabilitation therapy done,” Mr Silveira told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“And since then, we have been just, you know, took for a ride and we came back into Australia, and they just denied us and didn’t allow us to go home or even leave Sydney.

“So, we are on the sixth day in health hotel here, which we can’t complain, it’s a good place, but it’s far from the ideal of what Lenny really needs, what the doctor told us to go to.”
