Small Business Women Australia founder Amanda Rose says NSW small businesses need long-term assistance in the process of reopening, not just the economic help which “kept them above water”.
“Help shouldn’t just be short-term, we need long-term help here, especially Western Sydney,” Ms Rose told Sky News Australia.
She said the 12 LGAs which were in a stricter lockdown cannot be expected to open up without difficulties.
“You’ve steamrolled them, they’re flattened … a lot of them have lost their livelihoods, their income’s been halved or slashed or they’re in debt.
“So, we need a better system to actually get them back on their feet.”
