NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced that small businesses which do not qualify for payroll tax will now be able to claim up to $2,000 for a range of services and costs – including tolls.
In a media conference on Tuesday morning Mr Perrottet said the relief would provide great support to small businesses – particularly to tradies right across Greater Sydney.
The Premier said the package is to allow businesses – which have a payroll less than $1.2 million – to claim charge costs, licensing fees, council rates, and now – tolls.
“We are expanding that now to include tolls,” he said.
“We know that that is really going to support tradies right across Greater Sydney who will also be able to access this rebate.
“It is an expansion of the current program from March this year, into June, before leading into the budget next year.”
