Sky News host Peta Credlin says the howls from the Canberra Press Gallery on climate change and net zero “do not reflect” the views of mainstream Australia.

The Guardian Australia’s latest Essential Poll has shown 42 per cent of voters think not enough is being done to reduce emissions ahead of the Glasgow climate summit.

“That’s compared to 31 per cent who say enough is being done and another 15 per cent who think too much is being done,” Ms Credlin said.

“What’s more, less than a quarter of voters say climate is their most important concern, meaning three quarters say it isn’t their most important concern.”

Ms Credlin said this is an “important reminder” about the views of mainstream Australians.
