China has hit back with more of their “wolf warrior diplomacy” following former PM Tony Abbot’s speech in Taiwan, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
During his speech, Mr Abbott called on the global community to stand with Taiwan as China increases its assertiveness towards the democracy.
Communist China’s mouth-piece the Global Times, in response to Mr Abbott’s stand, labelled the former PM as “vicious”.
It went on to say, “rational Taiwan people would tell him: It is better for you Australians prepare to fight”.
According to Mr Kenny, this is “more threats” from Australia’s major trading partner.
“More threats from a country that is supposed to be our friend,” he said.
Mr Kenny discussed the issue with Liberal Senator James Paterson.
