Victorian Minister for Child Protection and Disability Luke Donnellan has resigned from the Andrews government cabinet.

It comes after Mr Donnellan was alleged to have paid for branch stacking members.

Victoria’s Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission commenced public hearings and heard explosive evidence from federal MP Anthony Byrne.

Mr Byrne named Luke Donnellan as someone alleged to have engaged in branch stacking as part of the operation led by the former powerbroker Adem Somyurek.
