Flanked by Health Minister Brad Hazzard and Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant, Mr Perrottet is expected to speak to the importance of maintaining high vaccination rates in the community.
The update comes as NSW looks forward to its so-called “freedom day” on Monday when stay-at-home orders for fully vaccinated residents will be lifted with the five kilometre travel rule to be scrapped across Greater Sydney and bars, pubs, cafes, hairdressers and other services will reopen.
NSW has seen consistently low COVID cases over the past week, recording 646 new infections on Friday, 587 on Thursday and 594 on Wednesday.
More to come.
