The next phase of the nation’s vaccination rollout will begin next week after the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation approved COVID-19 booster shots for severely immunocompromised Australians on Friday.

The advice on receiving a third dose comes as Australia hit 60 per cent double dose.

Health Minister Greg Hunt also revealed a decision on opening up booster shots to the general population would be handed down at the end of the month.
