Queensland has reached a vaccination milestone despite its sluggish rollout with 50 per cent of the eligible population now fully vaccinated.

The milestone comes after more than 57,000 doses were administered in the previous 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 68.8 per cent of Queenslanders over the age of 16 have received their first dose.

More than 47 per cent of those aged between 12 and 15 years have been given one dose and just over five per cent are fully vaccinated.
