Dr Chant held the daily coronavirus briefing via a Facebook livestream, the day after newly appointed Premier Dominic Perrottet unveiled changes to the state’s reopening roadmap.
Mr Perrottet’s announcement came after his first full day in the state’s top job, where he discussed the roadmap with Health Minister Brad Hazzard, Minister for Jobs Stuart Ayres and Dr Chant.

“Dr Chant and the Health team are members of the crisis Cabinet and will continue to also be members of the subcommittee moving forward,” he said.
Mr Perrottet also told Thursday’s press conference he and Dr Chant have a “great relationship”.
