Political strategist Brigid Meney says she thinks there is no need for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to go to the Glasgow climate summit given he is “well on-track” to meet Australia’s commitments.

“I think we often see this unmitigated disaster of emissions reduction in Australia, this narrative play out in the media,” Ms Meney told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“I think that Scott Morrison’s well on-track to meet our commitments and we don’t have to always buy into this sensationalised climate emergency.”
