South Australia is set to welcome interstate travellers for Christmas, allowing fully vaccinated people to enter without the 14-day quarantine requirement.

The state government is expected to finalise a plan within the coming weeks.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall says people who are not fully vaccinated or have visited exposure sites would likely need to quarantine.

Health authorities say visitors will also have to undergo COVID testing.
