Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath has announced the “positive news” that there has been no new local cases of COVID-19.
“It’s positive news today to report that we have zero local community cases in Queensland,” Ms D’Ath said.
She said there were six overseas-acquired cases – one in hotel quarantine and five cases on a bulk carrier ship west of Cape York.
“Wonderful news to have zero community cases again,” she said.
She said there are 31 active cases in the state.
