Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has praised residents for the “great effort” in “doing the right thing” after no new locally acquired cases were recorded on Tuesday.

“We’ve got some really good news today,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“So, we have zero community cases – this is unbelievable, this is a great effort from everyone in Queensland doing the right thing.”

It came as Queensland Health administered 22,351 vaccines with 67.76 per cent of the eligible population now single dosed and 48.89 per cent fully vaccinated.
