Incoming New South Wales Deputy Premier Paul Toole says he is “very fortunate” to be able to take on the role.

“I get up every day and out of bed because I want to fight for a better regional New South Wales,” he said.

“I want to make sure that they have opportunities, I want to make sure that they have a future.”

Mr Toole said the prospects of young people in the regions would be a “strong focus” of his leadership.
