NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole says there’s a “big task ahead” after being elected as leader of the NSW Nationals to replace John Barilaro.
“It’s an absolute honour and a privilege today to be given that opportunity,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I’m just thankful that I can get on with the job now that has been given to me to serve the people of regional and rural NSW.
“It’s a big task ahead. I’ve seen many things over the past five years with droughts and bushfires and floods and a global pandemic and really, we’ve just got to be focussed on business as usual and delivering for people in regional rural NSW.”
