Explosive drone footage has captured houses and trees submerged under a deluge of ash in La Palma’s exclusion zone in the wake of the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano in Spain.

Parts of La Palma island have been evacuated after the volcano erupted on September 19th.

The streets of Naos port are covered in a thick layer of dust as the nearby volcano keeps spewing ashes and a river of red-hot lava.

Around 6,000 people have been evacuated, the vast majority from the towns of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane.
