There are “two really big shoes to fill” following the departures of Gladys Berejiklian and John Barilaro, says NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole.
“There’s no doubt when you look at Gladys Berejiklian, she has done an amazing job,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“She has made sure that this state has been kept safe, we’ve kept the economy ticking over through a very difficult time and her resignation came as a shock.
“Then we’ve seen John Barilaro this week also announce that he was stepping down from politics.
“And both of them are going to be two really big shoes to fill at the end of the day because they’ve been there on our TV screens.
“They’ve been a formidable strength working together but they’ve also ensured that we’ve got through some very difficult times.”
