Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says the state will begin targeting 27 suburbs where vaccination rates are below state average.

This approach marks a difference from targeting local government areas and will only affect individual postcodes in an area.

“Those 27 postcodes are postcodes where the current first dose coverage rates are under 75 per cent and we’re going to try and get those up as high as we possibly can,” he said at a media conference on Tuesday.

He also said the state will also start providing vaccination data for first and second shots for individual suburbs.
