Dominic Perrottet has become the youngest premier of New South Wales and has signalled a new change for the state.
Mr Perrottet said he was a “family premier” with strength and experience as the state looks ahead to the next phase of pandemic recovery.
“We want New South Wales to bounce back stronger, safer, and more successful than ever before,” he said.
“To get back to the life that we love and the freedoms that we hold dear.”
He became premier after Gladys Berejiklian’s shock resignation last week and paid tribute to her in his first speech in the role.
Mr Perrottet will officially be sworn in as premier of New South Wales this afternoon.
