Support for minor parties is now at its “highest level in four years,” according to Sky News host Paul Murray.
“I used to stamp my foot all the time about 2016, that people were leaving the Liberal Party and they were going to go to a minor party as a way of punishing the government for being too left,” Mr Murray said.
“The numbers, according to Newspoll, are just as bad in 2021 as they were in the 2019 election.
“Remember a million votes disappeared from the party? However they were able to hold on to government, just.
“Support apparently for the minor parties is … at its highest level in four years; according to this, ‘others’ excluding One Nation and the Greens is now 13 per cent of the vote.”
