Former NSW Labor Premier Bob Carr says he is still processing the fact New South Wales is on to its seventh premier since he stepped down from the position in 2005.
This comes as Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced she will step down and resign from parliament altogether.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro also announced his retirement on Monday, as did Transport Minister Andrew Constance on Sunday.
“It’s been a period of abrupt turnover in New South Wales,” Mr Carr told Sky News Australia.
“We need stability in politics.”
