Police have arrested 109 people for various offences at an anti-vaccination demonstration in Melbourne – after protesters again met up near the Shrine of Remembrance.

The gathering was in response to the new vaccine mandate impacting all essential workers.

Some protesters began gathering near the Shrine of remembrance at midday – before a group of more than 100 people made their way towards the national gallery of Victoria.

Officers apprehended the protesters by the time they reached the Yarra River.
