There is “a palpable anger” in New South Wales after the shock resignation of Premier Gladys Berejiklian, according to former leader of the NSW Liberal Party, Peter Collins.
“Gladys occupies a special place in the hearts of the people of New South Wales,” Mr Collins told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“Gladys absolutely worked her way into the hearts of people of this state, and I believe there is a real grief out there.
“This is like a death in the family, for everyone.
“She really, really earned the respect of people in this state – regardless of their politics.”
