NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has thanked the community for following the guidance of the public health team after the state recorded 667 new local COVID cases.
“Three weeks ago, we had 1,599 cases,” he said.
“Three weeks later, today, I am very pleased to be able to tell the community that we are down … [to] 667, today, locally acquired cases.
“So it’s quite a dramatic drop in the last three weeks.
“I want to thank the community for all of the work the community has done to make sure that they have followed all of the guidance from the public health team and ensured that this virus is reducing its circulation, particularly in the Sydney region.”
